Wedding and Events Supervisor
Due to exceptional demand, we are looking to increase our team at Hensol Castle and are currently recruiting for a Weddings & Events Supervisor.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Working as part of the Events team you will be responsible for supervising the team, delivering excellent service to our guests whilst ensuring the smooth running of the events. Along with:
- Assist the Duty Manager in achieving departmental targets, standards, and service levels
- Communicate and delegate daily tasks to the team.
- Manage complaints in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Work alongside the team as the needs of the business dictate.

- You'll have experience of running Weddings & Events
- Confident in supervising a team, with previous experience desirable
- Excellent communication & delegation skills

PAY STRUCTURE/SALARY
£22,360 Per Annum

Banqueting Chef
The Role
Working as part of the banqueting team, you will be responsible for running various sections within multiple kitchens across the resort ensuring the highest quality of food and standards are upheld.
The role requires flexibility to work 5 days per week between the Resort’s opening hours.

About you
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in preparing all types of food including buffets, afternoon teas, and banqueting. Previous experience of working within a kitchen environment is required. An understanding of Food Health & Safety, including HACCP and allergens controls within a food production environment is essential.

The four star resort deliver five star service levels and comprises of a 143 bedroom hotel with five food outlets, two championship golf courses, and Wales’ largest spa, health, and racquets club. Recent expansion of the resort now includes newly developed Hensol Castle comprising of 20 bedrooms and extensive wedding and conference business.

Events Assistant

The Vale Resort is an Award Winning, Four Star Hotel, comprising of a 143 bedroom with five food outlets, two championship golf courses, and Wales’ largest spa, health, and racquets club. We also offer state of the art sporting facilities and host top-flight international and club teams. Recent expansion of our Resort includes Hensol Castle, transformed into a luxury and unique wedding and events venue, proving extremely popular. Recent renovation of the Grade I listed Castle has now opened 20 luxury bedrooms along with award winning Distillery, gin school and visitor attraction tucked away in the cellar.
About the Role: Working as part of the Events team you will provide exceptional service to our guest, exceeding expectations. Along with:
- Ensure all events are set up in line with the function sheets.
- Approach and acknowledge all guests, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
- Awareness of menus, wine list and banqueting etiquette.
- Maintain stock supplies throughout the functions.

Duty Manager
£21,840 Per Annum
Full Time Permanent

Working as part of the Resort management team you will oversee the day to day running of the hotel, supporting all departments whilst ensuring excellent service to our guests and members. Along with:
- Assist in handling guest complaints by investigating and ensuring all are dealt with swiftly and professionally.
- Ensure guest expectations are achieved and services are provided to a four star standard
- Manage the day to day running of the Resort, supporting department managers and supervisors
- Night manager holiday cover when required
About you:
- You'll have experience working in a similar role with a background in hospitality
- Confident in dealing with customer complaints with excellent communication skills
- Ability to motivate people along with staying calm under pressure
- Team player committed and driven to achieve high standards
